Interested in going to Florida? Science in Motion Florida Trip
Students, do you want to take a great trip to Florida next summer? We will be visiting many places including Walt Disney World®, SeaWorld®, Kennedy Space Center, and the Florida Wetlands, you can meet an astronaut and much more. Come see Ms. Davis in E1 for information. We will have a parent meeting on Thursday, May 24th at 7pm in E1. Come and learn how you can get scholarships and raise money for the trip of a lifetime.

Congratulations to Mobenul H. for winning the 4th of July Essay Contest.
Mobenul H. was selected as the middle school award winner for the City of Moreno Valley's 4th of July essay contest. He will be representing Badger Springs and MVUSD in the 4th of July parade. Way to go!

Badger Springs Giveaways!!!
Thanks to donations from our community partners, Horace Mann and Insight, Badger Springs was able to raffle off two bikes with helmets and a Dell laptop with accessories for perfect attendance and outstanding effort during the CSTs.

Top Readers Announced for April
In order for Badger Springs students to "Get on the Bus" and meet the State reading standard (500,000 words for 6th grade, 1,000,000 words for 7th and 8th), a 24-minute Reading To Achieve (RTA) period was added to the school day. Accelerated Reader is being implemented school-wide.

Internet Safey Session for Parents - How are you protecting your child from the dangers of the internet?
Riverside county district attorney’s office SAFE team will be here to do a presentation on internet safety. Bullying and cyber bullying will also be discussed. They will be handing out software that helps track their child’s moves on the internet as well.
